Couple of questions for my followers regarding a certain convention coming up in August:
this has been a PSA
Fuck this. I don’t need the Tumblr Post Police to tell me what I can and can’t do.
I’ll add whatever the hell I want to posts, and so can anyone else. I’ll M’Quvjack posts and add stuff about me if I damn please. In fact, I will do exactly that. Hi, I’m Fiammetta, M’Quve’s biggest fan, and I think this post sucks. I like Gyans, seashells and ice cream.
I don’t even give a shit if fangirls reblog my own posts to say something about Benedict Cumberbatch on it for fuck’s sake. SURPRISE! YOU CAN DELETE OTHER PEOPLE’S COMMENTS IF YOU DON’T LIKE THEM!
And cut that Anglocentric bullshit the fuck out. Seriously?
The language police really piss me off too.
omg fia bless you just god bless you fia you beautiful person
Thank you Fia! As long as the comments aren’t rude/mean, I don’t really care what people may add to my posts. And also-
Vehicolul meu pe perna de aer e plin cu tipari.
OP doesn’t seem to understand that’s not what the tags are even for. Unless one likes their blog to be a chaotic, random mess by passive-aggressively sticking messages in the tag section (that are often cut off on the Dashboard because they’re too damn long—the tagging system wasn’t designed for sentence-long responses or footnotes or whatever stupid shit they’re too afraid to put in their post’s body) instead of words and phrases that actually categorize your blog’s content, be my guest. But don’t promote this form of tag abuse and expect others to do the same idiotic thing, OP.
Besides, putting one’s comments in the body of their reblogged posts is one of the few ways users can hold conversations around here (since Tumblr has no straight-forward commenting system that isn’t limited in both who can comment and how long those comments can be). Beautiful things can happen in a reblog-chain though things always seem to come to a screeching halt whenever I decide to join in…
garmafashion answered your question: Okay, in order to keep myself from having a…
The best thing I can come up with is to adjust the height of thr presser foot. Also, you may want to check for a special foot for stretch.
My machine won’t let me adjust the presser foot at all; I can only replace it with a different foot. Looking right now on eBay at a walking foot that is said to work on my cheapo noob machine; I’ve read that walking feet can help with stretch/knits since they help prevent layers of fabric from moving out of alignment (which is one of my core problems). I can’t find any feet made by Brother (maker of my machine) that are specifically designed for stretch, so I’m assuming a walking foot is my best option. In the meantime I’m going to try to get some stabilizer and see if that improves things any.
Okay, in order to keep myself from having a depressive episode over this torture in the form of a costume (though it wouldn’t be the first time…) I need some assistance with one thing I absolutely have to get right in order to prevent another heap of wasted material, time, and energy—
Rebloggin’ for the very special surprise over on the far right (well, my right, the image’s left WHATEVS)

NOBODY THINKS YOU’RE FUNNY, NIC
SO remember that post where I CAPSLOCKED about how Daisuki and Gundam Streaming may be the biggest thing to revive Gundam?? WELL HEADS UP, THEY’RE TESTING THE WATERS AT ANIME BOSTON 2013 Looks like their Gundam Promotions will start at Anime Boston on May 24-26. With any luck, it will be more than just Gundam Wing and Seed!!! The booth itself is probably going to just be a Demo booth for their streaming but the call is out for Gundam cosplayers to help run the booth.
If you’re going to Anime Boston, want to help Gundam Promo, toss your name in. 3 hour shifts in exchange for a full badge. You need an ACP account and at least 1 gundam costume (any series, and yes it can be bought) uploaded before you can apply.
SUIT UP!!!!!!! Apply for Volunteer at ACP’s event page!!
I encourage anyone interested in doing Gundam Promo work to sign up, it’s really REALLY rare that Gundam Promotion events are open to the public at US Conventions but when Bandai was doing their 00 and Unicorn promotions there were tons of perks to volunteering. No guests of honor at the moment, but that’s on account of DAISUKI being relatively new entity… but Since they have contracts to stream extras and seiyuu events there may be some of that coming over in the future…?? Either way, hopefully we can get some answers from the company about international streaming and more title details!!
Don’t cosplay?? You can stil help give your 2 cents about which Gundam series to promote by doing this facebook poll! You can also Vote for your favorite pilots/captain/bridge bros in ACP’s Facebook gallery!
Vote, Share, SPAZZ. Please signal boot this to Side 6 and bacK!
ALL PILOTS LAUNCH
FFFF I was hoping I’d never have to use Facebook again but this is just too tempting. I’d like to think if our input helps make this a success up in Boston this company may decide to expand their campaign to other cons such as Otakon (or maybe they’re already planning to!). I will be all over that shizz if they are going to have a booth at Ota this year and just so happen to be looking for some Turn A (or ZZ, if things go as planned) cosplay. WILL UNIVERSE FOR BADGE
Ladies and gentlemen…my embarrassing fangirl phase, circa 2001.
WOAHWOAHWOAH there was a Harry fangirl back when I was barely even into Gundam yet?! I kinda wish I could talk to them now, especially if they’re still interested in Harry and Turn A, so I wouldn’t feel so alone in my adoration for Dianna’s unconventionally handsome bodyguard…
Even though I’m significantly younger than you and the others that posted on the Gundam.com forums I still remember some of these names, most notably yours and Straya’s (whose website I visited religiously back when I was a hardcore G fan and budding artist). It’s kinda funny how I was aware of many of the other series (including X!) a decade ago but never got to see anything other than Wing and G no matter much I wanted to until late 2009 when I would become “re-obsessed” with the franchise after watching Turn A for the first time. All these memories of the chaotic pre-Web 2.0 Gundam fandom are suddenly flooding back, hahaha.
(looks like no work on that infernal cosplay is going to get done today while I read these 30+ pages of archived fangirl antics just to see what you guys had to say about Harry… LMAO, I think this Beau person is supposed to me in a past life, though I was already 10 when she made those posts and I’m certain she hasn’t died—OH SHIT STRAYA DREW HARRY?! I think I’m going to go into a nostalgia-induced coma…)
Turn A (∀) GundamToday, April 4th 2013, is the 14th anniversary of the premiere of ∀ Gundam.
Turn A marks the return of Tomino as a series director. After Victory, he would take a back seat while cooking up what many consider his finest work, ∀.
Following on the heels of the poorly received Gundam X, Turn A is a complete redesign of the universe and a fresh look at mobile suit design.
The mustached Gundam and its androgynous main character are the target of much love and hate; but no one can deny that this series was brilliant from start to finish.

NOW WE KNOW HOW HARRY GOT HIS PERFECT BOD
'cause everything sounds cooler auf Deutsch
Weisseteufel here, flailing around in my stinky little corner of the tumbles and rambling about shit no one cares about. I take great pride in being a huge fan of some of the least popular Gundam titles, so much that two of them are referenced in my username! Apparently I also draw but no one would know that because my IQ drops by 42% with every year I age (and therefore nothing gets done). As my brain continues to gelatinize I've taken up the exciting and oh so expensive hobby of cosplay... and those efforts have also proven fruitless...
OH WELL just go enjoy my slightly more interesting sideblog just incase you couldn't get enough of that fruity-looking guy with the strange glasses that I won't shut up about.
